I spent most of the next day after our game reflecting back on our season, and I discovered that for a first ever Senior team for APYF we could be proud of our season in a lot of ways. For me it was a great opportunity to coach players who I have had the pleasure to watch grow up playing for APYF.  The opportunity to get to know these kids better at a different level, has made it one of my best years of coaching. I think the same can be said for them of me? Many of them came up to me after the defeat telling me "Thank you coach Dick for coaching me" or "Thank You Coach for the season" to earn their respect means alot to me, and helps me to reassure myself why I volunteer my time, and make the sacrifices I that have to be made for these young men.
 
The players can be proud that they were part of an organization that supported them by happily giving all they needed to perform. They had planty of support of the fans each n every week, home or away. They always heard many cheers & shout-outs as they took the field. The organization can be proud that the efforts made to field this team did not go unappreciated or unoticed. I was told by many people during the season how they thought it was a such a good thing for APYF to put forth the effort at this age level.
 
I told the players after the game saturday, that if they took anything with them from this season, it should be the opportunity they were given to perform at a whole new level from previous years. It was my hope that their skills were put to the test, their love for the game had grown, all the hard work, and sacrifices they gave was worth the ride. As they exited the locker room for the last time, Me and the coaching staff were given many handshakes, hugs, and thank you's by these young men. I knew then for me? It was worth the ride.
 
Shouts! to Fice, Gman/cornbread, Cam, Lauer, Da Mon, Joe Joe, Big Booty, Walmart, Xman, FAB, Beef, Key, Big Willie, DJ, EJ, Matt, Logan, and Neff. Begining with 28 players that came out in the spring, you guys tough it out till the end..thank you for your dedication.
 
Shouts! to Coach Jolin & Nance: I could not have done it without you guys being there everyday. Honorable mention to Coach Brown & Coach Todd for helping when they could during the week, and always their on the sidelines for saturdays to give advice, it was always more then appreciated.
